HID lamps processor is designed to treat high intensity discharge lamps (HID). By using this equipment, the volume of these lamps is reduced and also the disassembly and isolation of components that contain mercury is made.

In the first phase, the outer glass bubble lamp is crushed, being separated from the metal base and the burner. All fractions of glass are then collected in a container. After separation, the burner (the light emitter that contains mercury) is separated from the base and stored in a container. The mercury is removed ultimately by using the superior distiller.

Following this process, fractions are resulted:

  • opaque glass/ transparent (outer cylinder)
  • metals (ferrous and non-ferrous)
  • quartz glass/Hg or alumina glass/Hg (burner)
