Official Opening of Greenlamp Recycling

By this post we are pleased to announce the launch of the official opening of Greenlamp recycling plant (www.greenlamp.ro), on June 30, 2011. The inauguration event will take place on 30 of June 2011. We are confident that our investment will prove to be profitable both environmentally and economically and we trust that Greenlamp project will shortly become a benchmark in Romania and also in Europe. The factory is located at Frasinu, about 2 km from Buzau and has a capacity to handle over 3600 tonnes/year of waste of lighting equipment. Latest technology that we use allows us to treat all used lighting equipment waste and, at the same time, to recover mercury resulted from fluorescent powder collected out of fluorescent lamps and mercury vapour bulbs as well as high intensity discharge lamps (HID). Greenlamp Recycling collects and treats the following types of lighting equipment: - lighting for fluorescent lamps, with the exception of households luminaries (acc. GD 1037/2010, fifth category) - plain fluorescent lamps (acc. GD 1037/2010, category 5b) - compact fluorescent lamps (acc. GD 1037/2010, category 5c) - lamps with high density gas discharge, including high pressure sodium lamps and metal halogen lamps (acc. GD 1037/2010, category5d) - low pressure sodium lamps (acc. HG 1037/2010, category 5e)
